Beach weddings are beautiful! 

Things to think about:

• Permits – Many of the beaches do not require permits, but keep in mind that it is on a “first come, first served basis”.  Check with the city/town for any required permits that you may need to purchase.

• Tide Chart - This is a must because you do not want to be swept away!

• Inclement Weather – You will want to have a Plan B.  There are many beach venues that can accommodate you both outside and inside.

• Parking -   If you are doing your own planning, this is an important matter to consider.

• Older Guests – There are places that are easier than others to accommodate.  It is hard for older guests to climb steps and walk a long distance in the sand.  

• Unity Candle – Unity Candles are not a good idea.  Air movement blows them out or blows the candles over.  There are other special ceremonies to incorporate such as the sand ceremony, fisherman’s knot, etc.

• Sound System – If you provide a sound system, please keep in mind the wind noise.
